The Kenko 1.4x DG is a teleconverter lens that is designed for prime and telephoto zoom lenses. When placed between the camera body and lens, the optics of the Kenko PRO 300 1.4 DG will increase the focal length of any lens by 1.4 times. Made to work perfectly with telephoto lenses of 100 mm or above, this lens comes with the genuine Gate Array IC. As a result, the Kenko 1.4x DG ensures signal integrity between the camera body and lens. The Kenko PRO 300 1.4 DG also has an updated circuitry to record EXIF data accurately. This is an important feature because it means that the teleconverter lens will keep records of the equivalent aperture and focal length it used along with the prime lens or zoom lenses. Finally, the Kenko 1.4x DG supports autofocus on camera lenses with a maximum aperture of f/4.0 or brighter as long as there is enough light or contrast on the subject
